Steven Raymond Blinds - Terms & Conditions

Definitions

Seller – The refers to employees or authorised agents of Steven Raymond Blinds.

Customer - Person/persons receiving the service or product from the seller.

Product - This refers to Blinds, Curtains and Shutters provided by the seller.

Orders

All orders are made to measure. This means that when an order has been placed it can not be changed. No refunds will be provided once the order is placed.

Blinds, curtains and Shutters are bespoke items, customers are not automatically entitled to a right to cancel or return them unless they are faulty.

If a product is faulty the seller has the right to repair/replace the product at their discretion.

Payment

A deposit of 50 % is payable upon placing the order. The balance is payable immediately upon completion of the product or service.

Preferred payment is by bank transfer to the detail provided on the quote. Payment can also me made in cash, cheque or debit/credit card.

The goods remain the property of the seller until full payment is received.

Child Safety

Where applicable it is a legal requirement to install the appropriate child safety devices. Blinds will not be installed without the appropriate child safety device fitted.

Measurements

The products are made to measure. It is a requirement that the dimensions for fitting the product does not change from when the measurement were taken, to when the product is fitted.

If the customer measures (supply only): It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure measurements are correct, and the seller cannot accept returns for incorrect measurements provided by the buyer.

Warranty

Typically blinds and curtains have a minimum warranty of 2 years from the date on Installation. Shutters have a 5 yr warranty.

Warranties exclude normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, alterations, improper cleaning/maintenance, or exposure to extreme conditions (e.g., damp, sunlight fading).

Quotations

Quotations are normally valid for 30 days. Occasionally the product manufacturers will have price changes the will affect the price to the customer. Where this is the case the seller has the right to modify the quotations.

Fitting

It is the customers responsibility to remove any existing product before fitting the new product. Typically, this means removing old blinds before any work starts. The customer needs to allow reasonable access to the installer for fitting the product.

The customer should inspect the goods fully upon delivery/installation for any damage or defects and notify the seller within 48 hrs.

Exact colour matching or minor imperfections at a distance may not be considered defects, particularly with natural materials.

Delivery and installation dates are usually estimates and not guaranteed, as delays can occur due to circumstances outside the seller's control. Compensation for delays is generally not accepted.

Environmental Policy

Virtually all households in the UK have the ability to recycle waste. To minimise waste transportation all customers are expected to dispose of waste materials associated with fitting of the product.
